Our Massage Therapists are Joanna Coop and Samantha Welborn
Both are massage therapies using physical manipulation and pressure directly onto the skin. Therapeutic massage is a relaxing and generally enjoyable massage, which is great for combating the stress and strain of everyday life. Remedial massage is a more directed massage to combat specific conditions and muscular skeletal problems.
What Does Therapeutic Massage Treat?
This type of massage eases tired and aching muscles, improves circulation, tones muscle and skin and can assist the break up of fatty tissue and deposits as well as giving an all round sense of relaxation and well being.
What Does Remedial Massage Treat?
This massage is more suited to specific conditions and uses manipulation and mobilisation to treat problems such as muscle tension, aching joints, muscle and other soft tissue injuries, arthritic conditions and trapped nerves. Treatment is directed at specific areas of the body such as neck and shoulders; back; hips; legs; foot and ankle; or arm and hand.
Format / Approach
Massage sessions last for between 30 minutes and 1 hour, a basic medical history will be taken at the first appointment followed by the actual physical massage. The massage is directly onto the skin and uses oil or cream to assist the process.
