Deb Whittle

 

Deb Whittle qualified as a counsellor to Diploma level in 1997 and from there went on to run the Counselling Service at North Kirklees Mind for 7 years.  During this time she worked with a wide range of people, some of whom were experiencing severe and enduring mental health problems including depression, anxiety and obsessional thoughts and behaviours.  Alongside her current private practice, she also works with Tameside Youth Offending Team, mainly with 11-18 year olds but also parents and some family mediation work.

 

She is an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and works to the association’s Code of Ethics and Practice.  She is also a qualified supervisor, gaining a Postgraduate Diploma in the Supervision of Counselling and Therapeutic Relationships in 2000.
