Hypnotherapy is a very safe and natural way to change in any way the client wishes. The therapist will talk in a calm voice, which will allow the client’s mind to relax. In this relaxed state the conscious mind “drifts off” and the subconscious mind becomes more open and receptive to new ideas. It is possible during this relaxed state to access the client’s own reservoir of internal resources that will allow changes to take place. These changes are often permanent. All hypnosis is self-hypnosis as the client cannot be hypnotised or persuaded to make changes against their will. In most instances more than one session will be required but this will be agreed at the initial consultation. Hypnotherapy can help clients benefit in a number of ways:
The relationship between therapist and client is a two-way process and the client will be actively involved throughout the programme of therapy. |
